About Our Victory Access Program

The Victory Access Program offers income-based, pay-as-you-go service dog training for civilians seeking greater independence and support. This flexible track is specifically designed to remove financial barriers, making life-enhancing service dog training more accessible to individuals and families across our community.

All Victory Access applicants are responsible for the $250 Non-Refundable Intake Fee.

Beyond the Intake Fee, program costs are determined through a financial review completed during the intake process. This allows us to accommodate the client’s needs and tailor program fees as much as possible.

Financial Obligations

Pre‑Program Option (try‑before‑you‑apply)

Individual Class: $500 each
Limit 2 Classes Max: After two classes, you must apply to Victory Access to continue training.

Program Intake (after your 2 trial classes)

All Victory Access applicants are responsible for the $250 Non-Refundable Intake Fee.

Monthly Tuition — Based on Federal Poverty Guidelines (FPG)

VSD uses the current‑year Federal Poverty Guidelines (by household size) to determine your tier. Provide the most recent federal tax return or two months of pay stubs; household = all earners at your primary residence. Tuition is billed monthly until graduation or withdrawal.

≤ 150% of FPG: $350/month
151% – 200% of FPG: $450/month
201% – 300% of FPG: $550/month
>300% of FPG: $650/month

Training Program Overview

Our mandatory group training sessions for clients and their dog are held once a week for one hour at our Colorado Springs facility or at a location in Denver provided by our trainers.

Training Timeline

Our training program will take, on average, 18 – 24 months. Please assess if this time requirement is something that you are able to commit to. The more committed you are to attending classes and training at home, the better your chances of success.

Dog Requirements & Compatibilities

You do not need to have a dog at the time of applying. Please do not rush out and purchase a dog before you have applied and spoken to one of our team about our puppy acquisition restrictions. Head over to our FAQ page for more information on this topic.

Already have a dog? We do not have breed restrictions as long as the dog is under the age of 2 years old and they pass a dog assessment conducted by a Victory Service Dogs trainer.
