  • Steve Mayotte

    Board President

    Steve is a seasoned executive professional and a LEED Accredited Professional with over 20 years of management experience in diverse environments, both domestically and internationally. Currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Desert Waters Correctional Outreach Inc., Steve leads the organization in providing wellness resources and training to correctional agencies, correctional staff, and their families. In his role as COO, Steve oversees the business operations and development of the organization, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability. He leads and supports various teams and projects, consistently thriving in finding creative solutions to complex problems. These solutions span not only business processes and systems but also interpersonal and organizational challenges. Steve’s personal mission is to guide Desert Waters Correctional Outreach Inc. and its team to success, applying the skills and abilities honed over years of experience in leadership and organizational management.

  • Kristi Weir

    Board Member

    Kristi works in business banking and is passionate about helping business owners understand the benefits of partnering with a credit union. Having grown up in Wyoming, Kristi cherishes her spare time with her family, embracing the great outdoors through activities like hiking, playing sports, and fishing. Additionally, she finds joy in creating artwork, blending creativity with nature in each moment.

  • Wayne Decosta

    Board Member

    Wayne has a background owning and managing aviation and construction businesses.  His company, Great West Construction, provides commercial general contracting services to multiple industries, including senior care, health care, churches and ministries, restaurants, and retail businesses.  He and his wife Denise have been married since 1990, and have two married daughters, four grandkids, and a new Rat Terrier puppy. Wayne is an active pilot, and he and Denise enjoy traveling to see relatives, and exploring new areas of the country.  Wayne’s mission statement for Great West is “Honor God in all we do, help other people, pursue excellence in all our operations, and grow through the process”.

  • Steve & Kim Corey

    CEO & Founder

    In 2015, Army veteran Steve Corey was moved to action in response to the tragically high suicide rates in the veteran community. He knew the difference a service dog could make in the life of an individual and had seen them recommended to those who were re-entering civilian life following their service. The problem was, most service dog organizations had years-long wait lists, extensive requirements and unaffordable plans for someone on a fixed income. In an effort to combat these issues, Victory Service Dogs was born.

  • Miranda Bedburdick

    Administrative Coordinator

    A proud Colorado native and lifelong dog lover, Miranda Bedburdick is deeply rooted in service, community, and compassion. As the dependent of two U.S. military veterans, she has a personal connection to the veteran experience and proudly supports those who have served. That passion is reflected in her work with a nonprofit that empowers veterans to train their own service dogs — a mission that blends healing, independence, and the powerful bond between people and animals. Beyond her advocacy, Miranda is an avid outdoor enthusiast who feels most at home in nature. Whether camping in the mountains, exploring Colorado’s scenic beauty, or enjoying a quiet trail walk with her dog, she draws inspiration from the natural world. Active in the world of beauty and pageantry, Miranda embraces a life where strength and style coexist. From the glamour of the stage to the heart of volunteer work, she leads with authenticity, confidence, and a deep commitment to making a positive impact.

  • Robert O'Donnell

    Chaplain

    Robert served in the Navy for 22 years, and retired Oct 98. Primatry duties were small boat operations, security (Navy police), and lay leader for several commands, when there was not a Chaplain on board. He became a licensed Chaplain in 2022 and continues to serve with the American Legion Post 209 and Pikes Peak Biker Church. He has had 3 service dogs since leaving the Naval service and is honored to serve the community in several aspects.

  • Linnea Edwards

    Training Coordinator

    Linnea began her puppy raising and dog training journey in 2015 as a volunteer puppy raiser for Guide Dogs for the Blind. Over the years, she raised four dogs for the program, three of which successfully graduated as service dogs. In 2020, Linnea joined US Veterans Service Dogs to support a cause close to her heart—her significant other is a three-time combat veteran with the U.S. Marine Corps. She played a key role in launching both the Denver and Colorado Springs training groups, leading training sessions and group outings that help strengthen the working relationship between handlers and their dogs. Passionate about service dog training and the impact it has on lives, Linnea brings a wealth of hands-on experience, leadership, and compassion to her role at Victory Service Dogs. She currently lives on a ranch in Fountain, Colorado, where she enjoys life alongside her horses, goats, dogs, and a cat.
